Our Routine is consistent enough for the Toddlers to predict “what’s next”, however, the Time must be flexible for spontaneous activity.

Routine Before School Care

Toddler Montessori Program begins. (T.C. roll call)

Greetings, gross motor, & on occasion gardening, art, etc.

9:15 -11:15

Self-chosen work

The two hours of ‘Self-chosen work’, including snack & individual instruction, is THE most helpful time for your child. You are always welcome here in your child’s class. Toddlers only have a childish ability to ignore distractions. When loving people give them peace and quiet, they learn to concentrate, explore, and discover.

11:15 - 11:40

Lights off and song signal, “Please clean up and join the line.”Toddlers inspect & correct the room, with help. Transition: Music & Movement while two at a time wash up.

11:30

Toddlers eat lunch (Reminder: We have a peanut-free zone!), clean up their places, and look at books.

12:00

Dismissal for “Nooners.” Transition to nap: Lullabies & lay down.

12:30 - 3:00

Nap (This is a good time for parent phone calls & conferences)

3:00 - 6:30
